My little dog has this weird smell....?

I have a little dog, she's about 4 1/2 months old. Her behind smells like iron, like I imagine a large pool of blood would smell. I've been looking, but haven't noticed any blood in her poop. What could this be?

-She had diarrhea about a week ago
-We bathe her at least once a week
-She has had two distemper (DHPPC) shots, and is almost due for her third
 
Dogs don't just need DHPPC, they need protection from Distemper, Parvovirus, Para-influenza, Adenovirus 1 and 2, Lestopirosa, Caronavirus, and many other diseases. Take her to the vet!

It sounds like you care for her, just get her seen. They can do a fecal exam and see whats going on. There are at least 6 types of worm parasites that are inside dogs. Plus Ghiardia is a bad intestinal bacteria. Take care of your puppy, you are all she has :)


PS, most anal glands don't smell like blood.

My Yorkie-Poo wasn't passing blood and he got sick. The vet done a fecal and there was a lot of blood! So don't chance it.
 
I had the same problem... It is their Anal Glands... Pop them or take her to a vet or a professional
 
I believe the anal glads also if its not that it might be real serious that don't show any other signs that you notice. take her to the vet.
