HP Pavilion dv9428nr Notebook PC
Reset laptop and the wireless connection didn't come back.
I looked at device manager for info and the wireless option isn't there.
Tried restore, no change.
Tried HP support. No help.
No blue light (indicates working/on) when pushed left or right. Steady Red LED.
Is there an easy answer or link to easy answer. I am afraid I may need to repair/replace and I can not afford that. Any help would appreciate. My searches have all led me back to hp support.
Edit: Prior to today whenever the switch was "on" It was blue, device manager still doesn't have the broad-com wireless device listed even after downloading and running the drivers. I have also found that I can not access the wireless assistant, even after running the drivers and reloading..
Really hoping I don't have to re-install OS.
Edit 2: After rybbubg driver "run as admin" no dialog boxes appear after it askes me to overwrite. Small blue circle of thinking appears for a bit. Then it disappears with no messages.
