My laptop side scroll isn't working?

The up/down works fine. But all of a sudden the side scroll stopped working. It's a windows 7, and I've kept everything updated since the day I got it. I've had it about a year now.
It's not really anything that bothers me, but It's bothersome.

What's up with it?
