I also have a 4 year old cat who has the run of the house and uses a cat flap. Kitten has to get shut in the front room/dining room so she doesnt get out, and so the older cat doesnt hurt her as we are still getting them used to each other slowly, which they seem to be getting there.
When we are home we let her have the run of the house which she loves....this morning she was really crying to get out... I feel awful about leaving her, but I dont want a risk that she will get out the cat flap and get lost.
We have always shut her in every day while we are at work, and every night when we go to bed ever since we have had her...
Its been 2 weeks now, will she be ok? Will she cry all day? I feel guilty....
