I have a year and a half old daughter. A little over a year ago, in August 2009, I took my kid's mom to court and was awarded visitation rights of 4 hours a week. The guidelines state that I am to be informed of the visitation date no less than 1 week. She calls me within one day of the visitation most of the time. So I never know when the dates are until its time.
The papers say that after she turns a year old. That I have the first and third Saturday each month from 9 am to 6 pm. On the second and fourth Sunday from noon to 5 pm. On the the birthdays of the child and the father from 5pm-8pm. Thanksgiving from 3pm-8pm. Christmas from 3pm to 8pm.
Father's day from noon to 5pm.
I have NEVER seen my kid on ANY holiday including birthdays.
My kid's mom lives with her father and the calls for visits are usually based on her availability schedule. She will say, "Well, I have appointments (here and here) So, I can't do it this day or that day so is this day fine?"
I've gone to visit and have been there about 30 minutes or more with just her father there. Then, there have been times when she was there, but would go whisper to her dad and would disappear a long while just leaving me with him. No where in the court papers does it mention her father.
Shortly before my kid's mom got pregnant, there was an incident that took place at my house, where she brought a 1 year old African American boy to my house and I answered the door and there she is with him and says "Look what I brought home for us!" Like it was funny.
I'm just thinking, "WHAT are you THINKING?! "
So we go sit in her care a while before she took him to where he belonged. I was nervous because first of all the kid shouldn't have been there. But she was playing with him, and she started kind of shoving his head around. shoving turned to light smacks, but even still that's intolerable. She called him "ugly little sh**" . At that point I'm just looking at her not knowing what to think.
She goes on to call him "ugly little n*gger piece of sh**".
I just told her she needed to go and get him where ever at that point.
Then after she got pregnant, she called me one night after going to pick up a 14 year old girl to bring her home. She called me several times and told me that the girl had to pee a lot. I thought, "Well..why do I need to know this?" She starts telling me how promiscuous the girl is and that she was probably stocking up on condoms and calling the boys back home.
She has pointed out clients pictures in the newspaper that had been put in jail.
She has had me in her office after hours to just hang out.
She works for Lauderdale County Department of Human Resources. (DHR) ...The people that take your kids.
She is a former cocaine user and while we were together she used to buy 40 dollars worth of pot every other day, drank all the time, and would even do so while on call that night, which she didn't get calls often, but there were several times she did and would still go out to respond to the calls totally high and drunk.
What do I need to do about this situation as far as my visits?
I might add that I even had a meeting with 3 of her bosses about the boy and even knew his name and gave them very nitty gritty details that even though I had no physical proof , they couldn't deny it.
I even told them I could show them her office and NO ONE other than staff is to be anywhere in there unless you're a client with an appointment.
Which maybe I shouldn't have said ok and gone, but we don't think like that when we get along with each other. I knew I didn't mean any problems, but...still brings her professional to question.
Also adding that this is Alabama.
So is all this , including with my kid, not child abuse, contempt of court, and misrepresenting the state...since DHR is a state job?
