My Key doesn't turn in my ignition, the ignition is stuck, 2001 Pontiac grand am. Why?

Hello First my Starter didn't work so i had to key turning the key so that it can work, i did that for about 30 minutes and then i got pissed off so when the key was at ON is yanked it as hard as i can and the key came out. I took the key out and when i put it back in the ignition doesnt turn. Now my car is now in a parking lot and i need help to do something, Any ideas please help me. THANK YOU =)
i heard that i should wd-40 it, where do i spray it?
 
replace the ignition switch is the only thing I can think of, unless you call a lock and key man to work on it***********************
spray it in the key hole, but I would recommend graphite instead or silicone spray
 
I had this happen before. I ended up needed my ignition replaced. But I know there is a way to get it to turn. You can wiggle the steering wheel and turn the key. It took my car about 45 minutes to finally turn.
