1992 Jeep Cherokee, 4wd, inline 6, auto. After driving about 50 miles or more, the car starts smoking heavy for about a minute or two and then stops smoking. A bit of smoke comes into the car. It seems to be white. everything seems to be ok and all the oil and water on the level. FYI: when driving lets say about 60 miles/hr (and on the last gear), if I apply more gas, it down shifts to a lower gear ( I mean just a bit of gas to take it from 60 to 61 mph)and I have to ease up on the gas (a bit) to shift to the higher gear. The shifting cable has been adjusted to its limit. Changed Trans oil and filter (they looked ok). The car runs good.
