My Jeep Cherokee, and "I" Block straight six cyl has a problem with unpredictable stalling. It always has started right back up, but it is very stubborn for a few miles, then may not show up again for weeks or months. Had in in the shop while it was acting up one day. The mechanic replaced ev ery sensor under the hood and one on the bell housing--still shutting down at random even at idle. He then started over,even replace the distributor, etc. When the bill got to about $500.00 and it started back, I drove out of his shop, to home. The Jeep still gets me around without too much shutdown lately.
My Jeep Cherokee has "Quits"and stalling problem any answers?
