I tried updating my iPod Touch to the latest version, 4.2.1. It didn't work. Even after it said the iPod has been updated, it was still stuck on that screen. I tried restoring it but it was still stuck on the screen. Only when it was a "new" iPod, then it could work. I tried restoring many times.
I drained the battery and tried recharging but no luck. I tried to sync to my Mac but iTunes doesn't recognise it at all.

iTunes keeps hanging when I hook up my iPod Touch to the Mac.
I did try pressing the home button and the wake button at the same time. (But I think my wake button doesn't really work. So yeah.)
So I connected my iPod Touch to my dad's MacBook Pro. iTunes couldn't read my iPod Touch because it's an invalid source?
