My Ipod Touch is frozen at the apple screen witha little loading bar under

it... HELP! WHAT DO I DO? So for the past idk... 5 HOURS.. ive been trying to Update my Ipod Touch so i can add apps. This ipod touch is the 1st generation.. Now as it was finishing up.... It froze at this screen with the apple and a little loading bar under it. it has been frozen like this for about 2 hours. Ive tryed holding the off and menu button to turn it off and its done nothing.. i dont know what else to do. Please i beg help because im getting iritated.!!!!!!

I have to say i think i have problems with my iPod Touch 2nd generation every other day. If you have all your stuff backed up on iTunes, which you probably do, cause i think it does that automatically, but plug your iPod into your computer and when it comes up on iTunes click on your iPod and click on Restore. If you have a lotta stuff on your iPod it might take a while, but when my apps crash i have to Restore my iPod. All the freakin time. Hope this helps ! (:
