my ipod/ itunes/ apple sync notifier wont work can you help?

I have tried almost everything, i have uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it, i have tried to reboot my ipod and my computer, and i keep getting a notice that my applesyncnotifier is not working. My ipod wont charge or even come up on my computer or on itunes, i cant even get other ipods to come up on my computer. someone please help me!!!! i just wanna be able to use my ipod. thanks
