Do you have a warranty on it (still)?
Did you register your iPod online when you got it?

If you answered yes, then they will fix it

THIS HAPPENED TO ME A FEW DAYS AGO.

My son took my ipod touch and smashed it on the ground and broke the inside of it. I really thought i was screwed and my baby wasted my 200 bucks.

I went to the apple store and told them i recently got it as a gift and it just malfunctioned on me. They just gave me a brand new one!

So definitely, as long as you didn't have it for more than 1 year, they will replace it! Good luck!

Yes, they will.

I'm assuming you've already tried holding the menu and centre button at the same time though, right?

I have a fourth generation iPod Nano that broke through no fault of my own. I just turned it on one day and the screen was just blank, and nothing I've done to fix it has worked. So I'm going to take it to the Apple store tomorrow, do you think they will do anything to help?
A freind of mine said that her iPhone broke and since it was less than a year old they just gave her a new one. Do you think they might do that?

yes they will. explain the exact problem and say that you havent tried to fix it in any way

They will probably fix it considering their iPods break easily, but make sure you take it to the store you got it from to see if they can just replace it for you first, before you go through the hassle of sending it in and waiting forever to get it back.
