My ipod(60 GB) is not showing up in itunes or my computer or system management.?

My ipod(60 GB) is not showing up in itunes or my computer or system management. Everytime I plug it in, the computer beeps 3 times, as opposed to once like when I plug it in to any other computer. It is wierd because my computer recognizes other ipods, and my ipod is recognized by other computers, so it is as if there is a communication error between my ipod and my computer. An answer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
