My iPhone in my ford 2005?

My dad just purchased a used 2005 Ford truck(I'm not really sure which one exactly). Anyway being the tech savy teen I am I was enthusiastic upon finding out there was a DVD/iPod player/. And that movies from my iPhone could be shown usuing a black USB addapter cord that attaches to the cord part of my charger. However it does not charge it, or as far as I can see play it. (BTW the USB adapter is found inside the glover and is connected internally). Please help me I'm starved for something fun to do in the car!!!!!
 
Sorry, not exactly sure what your question is. Are you looking for something that will charge your iPod at the same time? Or are you just looking for something that will play it?

For the latter, try the Composite A/V adapter from Apple, which plugs into your iPod's dock, and outputs video in the standard red/yellow/white cable format.
