i recently let a friend try to unlock my phone and when i went to check on how it was going he said i would have to restore it using itunes. it was now stuck in recovery mode with the picture of the usb cable and the itune cd on the screen. itunes does give me the option to restore my phone but it will erase all everything. i dont want to loose all my apps, contacts, pics, and other info so i will only do this as a last resort. i dont know anything about the iphones and how they work. i did try to use blackra1n to "fix" it but after it says its jailbroke, the picture of the usb cable and cd come on the screen. can anyone help me get my phone working without me having to restore it using itunes. im all ears.
