...do I say this to him? Ok, so i HAVE spoken to him about my feelings, but the only answer he will give me is that he will do the best he can, but he can't promise me anything. Now, I understand that upon enlisting in the army, you are not guaranteed to get the mos of your choosing. It is, on the other hand, my understanding that you will be given options, right? I mean you don't just enlist with a wife and three kids and they just throw you wherever they need you. Tell me if i'm wrong, please! Do you have many options? He is going to study for the asvab and is hoping to get at least a 50. I think he should have more options tthanjust infantry!! My opinion is he may WANT to be infantry, or he just doesn't want to feel like a coward while telling the recruiters that his wife told him no!! I don't know how to hhandlethis situation, I want to support my husband, but i don't want him in infantry, because it seems to be one of the most dangerous mos's (besides special forces). Is he just evading the question?? Please any input (preferably from soldiers or spouses of soldiers), would be awesome!
