My husband&I were debating over whether or not they sell condoms to inmates....do they?

one of us said yes.....because sex in prison is inevitable,therefore it must be made safer by the use of condoms.

one of us said no....because it would only promote sex in prison..

what is accurate?

Condoms are considered illegal by many prisons, so they don't distribute them to inmates. Sex and rape still happens on a regular basis, so some people feel that condoms should be made available to prevent the spread of HIV and other STDs.
 
they should distribute them for free, to prevent the spread of dangerous and or deadly diseases.

but lets be serious, these are criminals, most of them probably never wrapped it up in their lives
