...together? I am 21 and my husband is 22. We want to serve our country together in the Air Force. I wanted to know if we are going to be able to stay with each other during the eight weeks of boot camp and for the coming years in the Air Force?

The answers won't be any different asking a second time.

You won't be together at all during basic training.
Afterwards, as the others have said, your husband and you will possibly be located within 50 miles of one another, although it is not a guarantee by the military.

odds are slim you'll be together during bootcamp. they like to keep you seperated for obvious reasons but after you graduate you can usually make arrangements to be stationed in the same area but it doesn't always happen that way.

boot camp? you know the idea is that its 8 weeks of misery, right? NO they won't put you with your husband through boot camp! and that's for the best for your relationship

after that, they'll do their best to station you within 50 miles of each other, no guarantees

You will be separated from each other during boot camp. You will probably be allowed to write each other letters though.

Next is Technical School, depending on what jobs you are assigned, or choose from you may or may not attend the same base for Technical Training, and that will last anywhere from 6 weeks to over a year.

Then, is your first duty assignment, the AF will try to station married couples together and it usually works out, but not all of the time.

nope, nor will you be permitted to live together during AIT unless AIT is at least six months long and you have the same one.. and even then they don't have to let you live together. and afterward: spousal co location is NEVER a guarantee. they try. they do not promise.

you could easily find yourself on opposite coasts.

you most likely wont be together or at the same boot camp thr point of boot is to tear you down

after boot they will do the best they can to station you close to each other

you most likely wont be in the same unit but you will be at the same base
