2 weeks ago went went to a friends house about 2 hours away. They were doing some landscaping and gave us some bottle-brush bushes that were just yanked up by the roots, we put them in plastic bags took them home and replanted them within 6 hours. I also treated with some Miracle Grow quick-start but only about 2 cups each when we replanted them. Since then, the blooms have totally died, 90% of the leaves have turned a pale whitish-green and look dead and about 10% have fallen off. Should I cut the bushes back? and if so, just cut off the damaged leaves or should I cut them down to a 4-5 inch stump? Hubby thinks I should just leave them alone?
