Hello everyone,

My husband has a huge problem with coke. I am not handling this well as the lies are insane. I will go into more later but just wanted to ask - what is the difference between coke and crack? I have found the powder many times but also found solid round balls and evidence of him smoking it - (spoons w/residue and burnt on the bottom) I did confront him and accuse him of using crack - he got angry and swears it's not crack "just coke"! What the heck? What is the difference? Thanks to anyone that can help. This is a living nightmare. Yesterday I looked through some older threaRAB on here and found that I am def. not alone.

Soooo.....41 views and no responses?? Did I do something wrong here? I will go back again and try to learn some stuff from older posts I guess.

Hello,

Crack is the same drug as Cocaine, just a different form and taken differently. Cocaine is an opiate drug in powder form that is usually snorted up the nose or eaten/applied to the gums. Crack (full name Crack Cocaine) is a solid form of Cocaine that is usually found in blocks or balls, that can be either smoked, or boiled down and injected, similarly to Heroin.

As a general rule, Crack is a stronger, higher dose, but both are highly dangerous.

To counter your husband's argument that he is taking "coke, not crack.", Coke (Cocaine) and Crack are in fact one and the same, in effect.

Hope this helps, and I hope you and your husband seek medical help very soon, remeraber, he can and will recover with the right help and determination!

James
