...plugged into wall charger? My HTC XV6900 Touch was plugged in last night before I went to bed. It said it was charging (showed the icon of the plug and had Amber light). Sometime during the night it refused a charge and died. While it was plugged into the charger this morning after I turned it on, it again said it was charging and had Amber light but the phone kept alerting me the phone was going to die. I decided to look at the ports of the charger and the phone after I unplugged everything and took the battery out. The phone's port in one area looks like it melted a bit.
I'm on my 2nd Touch because the power button broke on the last phone and they gave me this refurbished one. I am really frustrated with the Verizon phones, every model I get breaks every 3-6 months then they make me buy a new one. I do have insurance on my phone now, but come on!
How did this happen and what does the red LED light mean when plugged into wall charger? Will Verizon fix it or will the blame it on me? Does anyone have any way for me to fix the charging problem?
I put the phone in the freezer for about 30 minutes and used my USB port charger for the computer and now its charging! The USB cord did nothing before the freezer, and the crap Verizon charger is still not working after the freezer!
