My htc hero isnt working....please help!?

My phone has stopped working... all my apps that don't use the internet work fine but when i try to make phone calls nothing happens and my phone also wont make or receive text messages? and when i go to the market it says a network error has occured.... next when i hold down the end button it says my network is on, but when i go into settings it says mobile network state disabled and the signal strength is -95dBm 9 asu? also the icon that is normally on the top bar of the phone is missing the 1x symbol? i know my phone didnt get shut off becuz i checked online and the other people on my plans phones are working... if you know how to help thanks
