My HP photosmart is rather old, and I have a two-year old whom over the last year has discovered it and loved stuffing anything and everything in it. She's stopped lately and I now have to print some papers.
My software is all updated for the printer, the ink cartridges are /brand/ new, but earlier we have attempted to print something and it did nothing but blank pages. We assumed it was the ink, so we bought new ones and were surprised that they had been used up already ; we thought it was just them drying up over time, since the printer is not in common use.
Now, I really need to print a pdf document. I have preformed every form of 'try and print' in the computer and it just doesn't work. It 'registers' the print, but only show it going up to "4% out of 100%", then it starts printing. And it doesn't just stop at one page, it'll continue on for quite a while until it just stops. If it doesn't just print the page's title, it'll just do a blank page.
I'm not sure what to do! I really need this paper, and I know no one else with a printer. Is it just our printer crapping out on us since it's just quite old?
