I just found out my flatmate is over £7000 in debt. I overhead her on the phone to her bank who were threatening to send the repo men around to our flat to claim back items to this amount as she is making no attempt to pay back her debts to the bank. I'm the only other person who lives here. She has no possessions of much value apart from a rubbish 4 year old laptop. I have a new widescreen LCD TV, separates surround sound system and subwoofer, a computer, 2 new laptops, and the appliances in the kitchen are mine. What happens if I answer the door accidentally (I am not in the habit of ignoring the doorbell, why should I be?) and this guy tries to take my stuff? Can I explain that she is the one in debt and just direct him to her room? What if he tries to take my stuff?
