my honda xr 100 will not run properly. It runs with choke fully on and dies out when i let off the throttle. if the choke is down the bike dies out. if i ride it or even increase the throttle the bike makes a loud bubbling noise. any suggestions?

your gonna need to pull the carburetor.now with it removed, pull out the tuning screws, counting revolutions as you turn em out(idle screw can stay)write it down!now pull the like 4 screws from the corners of the fuel bowl.clean gunk from bowl.if you can do it, there will be 2 jetts in the bottom of the carb inside those tall things.remove em,dont tear em up, if you cant get them out, leave em, and then dip the whole thing in a bucket of chemtool carb cleaner overnight.next day use compressed air to clean all passages.oh i for got, remove all rubber and plastic including the float and gaskets etc.sometimes the jets have holes in the sides to help atomize fuel so its better to remove them.if you were able to remove them, you dont need the overnight dip. use a small wire to probe the plugged hole/holes being very careful to not break the wire or ream the hole. if that happens take the tiny jets down to the local parts store and order some new ones.reassemble and have fun,get some road rash for me, mines almost healed(wrecked my quad and busted my ribs last sunday
