Today I was driving my black Honda 2000 accord lx and something weird happened. I had foot on the gas pedal and all of a sudden I hear a loud like crank and my car goes in reverse while still in d1. It basically acted as if it was in reverse. I turned car off and restarted and about 2 minutes later while on drive one I heard another clank sound and it went into park and stopped. The shift thing still says d1 but it keeps shifting itself. I only have one car and was wondering if anyone knew the problem? I have insurance but I don't want my insurance to go up of I tell my company and they repair it. What's is wrong wih it ?
