It's still a bit cold where I live and when the windows start to fog up I flip the switch to defog the windows and the A/C turns on. When I then stop at a light; the engine shimmies just for a sec, the radio dies for a split second then comes back on and the ABS light comes on and quickly turns off like I just started car. This has happened probably 7 times now over a few days. After the 3 time, my front left headlight died. I talked to a mechanic and he told me they were probably unrelated and that unless the "service engine" light came on, there is no code for them to check to see whats wrong. Any ideas?

The ABS light will come on when your car stalls, as will most of the dash lights, as such they are not directly related to your problem.

The AC Compressor running is a burden on the motor, and if your vehicle is not properly tuned up it could cause the motor to stall when it engages.

Or, your alternator could be on the way out, and the added draw from the blower motor and the AC Clutch engaging could be enough that it is causing a power failure to the vehicle systems.
