my hen laid 3 eggs and they all were unfertle, is it because it is not breeding season?

or can she lay fertle eggs all year long? I dont breed and dont intend to sell the chicks but i have grown to love the canary bird and picked up a male and female. It would be nice to have some chicks. any advise would be great.
