When I woke up this morning and went to check on her, I noticed that she wasn't in her usual wooden home, where she sleeps every night since I got her 9 days ago, she was all balled up in a corner and the fur on her back was all wet. So I got her fresh food and water and I've been checking on her every couple hours, I noticed once when I went over she was sneezing a whole bunch ( atleast I think it was sneezing, it was a bunch of weird huffing and puffing noises ).. Do you think she could have a cold or something? In the past nine days I've only heard her sneeze maybe twice.

I don't know how she would have got a cold, its warm in my appartment and shes not near any drafts, she's not stressed or anything.

She may have got wet from laying under her water bottle but I'm not sure and I dont want to risk it if it's actually something serious.

One thing I thought might have been making her sneeze is that I've been using pine shavings, they came with her cage and I didn't find out they were harmful until a couple of days ago. I did a bedding change on Friday and put pine shavings back in because I couldn't get to the pet store to get Carefresh. But today is my day off work so I went and got Carefresh, should I change her bedding tonight when she wakes up incase the pine is the cause of the sneezing? Or would 2 bedding changes so close together make it worse somehow?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Oh I just remembered - Last night her wheel was squeaking so I put her in her hamster ball so I could put some canola oil in it ( it's a plastic wheel not metal ) and it stopped the squeaking, and I whiped all the access oil away but when I put her back in her cage she licked it for a couple seconds but stopped, maybe this made her ill?

I also know about diahorea and Wet Tail, and near her bum is completly dry and the fur looks normal, only on her back is it wet.

If it looks serious then you should go to a vet and have them check your hamster.

Hopefully your hamster is fine.
