My guitar hero games wont work, the receiver disconnects . . .?

ok so i have a ps3 and the gh3 for ps3 works but the gh2 & 80's for ps2 work but once the game is loaded, the receiver fails and disconnects.

i got the ps3 for both ps2 & 3 games so that shouldn't be the problem.
