my grandma buys electronics she does not know how to work.?

My grandma buys electronics she does not know how to work then calls me and makes me spend hours tyring to explain how to work them over the phone. Are there any computer idiot computers out there or ways to make it easier for her to understand ? if not i am going to have to try to convince her to stop buying things she cannot work. Trying to explain a dvd burner for the tv was terrible
