My Girlfriend's Appendicitis

Several days ago my girlfriend was rushed to hospital to get her Appendix removed because it had become inflamed, so the removal was a success and after a couple more days in the hospital she was free to go home, and from then on shes been in pain like others are after the removal of their appendix... so all things add up that she will be eventually fine.

Today I tried to call her to see how she is like any other day but she never answered, later I tried again.. still no answer.. yet again I phoned later but nothing.

About 20 minutes ago I phoned her again and her mother answered and I knew that instant that she was crying and my heart sank while waiting to bear the bad news from her.

I asked whats happened to Laura (My girlfriend), Laura's mother told me she didn't know what happened but shes in hospital again, and just told me that Laura will be alright with me replying "Yeah of course she will be..."

I am really worrying at this moment of my girlfriends situation. I am in another country working so I can't go to hospital to see her very soon.

Anyway.. leading up to the question - Does anybody have experiences or knowledge of the aftermath of Appendicitis? Why would she be in hospital again after the removal of her Appendix?
 
It's impossible to say for sure, with no real information. However, one of the most common problems after surgery is infection.

If she does have an infection, most likely they brought her back to the hospital to give her strong antibiotics and keep an eye on her until they start working. Post-surgical infections are usually cured without problems.

Of course, I'm just guessing. The problem could be something else entirely, you'll just have to wait for an answer.
