...on it. Who pays? I have US insurance on my car and was letting my girlfriend drive my car in Quebec to practice driving (she has a learner's permit). She rear-ended someone at a red light and the police didn't take my insurance. Do I have to pay for damage done to other the other car? I know in the US it would be my insurance that pays, but heard that in Canada it would be his and mine isn't effected unless I make a claim. Can anyone verify this for me? thanks in advance =]
