I went on a business trip for a weekend, and my girlfriend said she would be fine and that she wanted to go to a bar or club with friends on a Saturday and that's it. I was totally fine, and happy she was honest and it made me feel comfortable leaving actually. She would send messages, and we did ichat one night and she would always say she misses me. I cut the trip short and came back early even though they wanted me there till Tuesday. So I got back and everything is fine, until a few days after I get back we were cuddling in bed and she went to the bathroom and her phone is on the bed. Because I have caught her before about 2 or three times I thought what the heck, might as well double check to see if I'm safe.
Of course I see texts messages to her boyfriend, and her saying that the "apartment is empty and ready to be broken in, come over to get blazed." etc. My heart immediately sinks, and she see's I have the phone, and freaks out saying she's leaving because she doesn't want to deal with the drama, even though I didn't say a word and asked her to calm down. I told her that I'm fine, and I would like the truth. she says that she invited her ex boyfriend over to smoke weed and play my arcade. (I built it by the way)
So eventually she starts blaming me, saying everything would have been fine if I didn't look at he phone all the time, and then says it would have been avoided if I smoked weed with her. She feels the need to smoke randomly and wants me to smoke weed, otherwise she will go off with her old stoner friends and do it behind my back.
I'm anti-drugs, and after catching her lying before I've become numb to it all, and feel that I may be crazy. She is trying to make it up to me by being cuddly and loving, but I don't feel like I should encourage this behaviour, Can I have a relationship with someone who chooses drugs over me? Who choose to lie to keep the peace? Should I lower my standards and just cave in to the pressure and smoke with her? I feel like I deserve a little more respect, what should I do? Let her smoke with her friends? Smoke with her and throw away my moral standards to keep this alive?
