My girlfriend and I were together for 2 years and broke up over this past summer. While we were broken up, she told me that she had sex with someone. The guy that she had sex with was also a fling she had before we met. The problem is, I keep picturing her having sex with this other guy and it's killing me...even though we're back together now I can't seem to forget about what she did.
So my questions are:
Should I try to forget about what happened because we were broken up at the time?
Does she/did she have deeper feelings for this guy or did she hook up with him again because she was already familiar with him?
She's told me a few different times that while we were broken up "it just didn't feel right not being with me" yet it took her 4 months to bring it to my attention and want to try and fix things. She says that she wants to grow old with me but it just feels too good to be true and I don't want to get hurt again. I just find it hard to believe what she says when it seemed so easy for her to sleep with someone else.
