My party girl girlfriend broke up with me yesterday because she didn't like my lifestyle changes; she said that she wanted the old me back. But the thing is I don't want to go back to the old me I want to prove myself. She said she didn't like what I was turning into.
Two months ago me and a couple of friends tried LSD, it was a pretty insane experience to say the least, but during this beautiful experience I had what I think is called a revelation. Something inside of me woke up with a newfound goal which was to improve my life, to lift myself out of the gutter and change my nonconstructive habits.
Before the LSD experience, me and my girl spent most of our time partying and getting drunk/high.
Smoking a lot of cigarettes, going out to fast food joints, watching a lot of TV/movies and playing a lot of video games just kind of living in a crappy perpetual life cycle. But I really didn't like but it was as if I was stuck and couldn't find the strength to break free of those habits.
After the experience, I took a newfound interest in my health and my life which resulted in daily meditation as well as yoga, I'm on my second month of a rather effective workout program called P90 X. I quit smoking cigarettes as well as alcohol. I even went as far as to cut fast food completely out of my diet and substituted with freshly grown organic food from a local market that is only 2 miles away from my house (I had no idea it was even there) I've also actually started a garden of my own that I plan on expanding little by little over the course of time so most of my food is grown on my property. Also took a newfound interest in a variety of different subjects (philosophy, economics, world history, science, poetry just to name a few) and I love what I'm becoming, I just don't know why she wouldn't approve or be more supportive of what I think are positive changes in my life
I just turned 24 last month, is my new lifestyle going to be a turnoff for women? Do girls prefer a guy at the party oriented person doesn't have a care in the world? I'm just really heartbroken that she left me
