My girlfriend asked me out to Homecoming but I think dances are dumb?

What do I do? She thinks we should go to the school homecoming dance but I think it's dumb. It costs money and you have to buy suits and everything and it's crowded (driving) and people there can be jerks. I told her I'd rather just a spend a night alone with her somewhere. What do you think?
 
If you really care about your girlfriend, and she really wants to go, I think that you should go with her.
It will make you happy to see her happy and having fun, and you'll probably end up having a good time in the end, even if you think it's dumb.
 
Welcoming to the club my friend...You just gotta suck it up and go dude, anyways its not that bad dude. you need to stop thinkin of urself and try to make her happy. Believe me, in every relationship you need to make your girl feel special.
 
Homecoming is like a girls wedding or he prom. She dreams about like 4ever. U should so go or break her heart. hope this helped xx
 
Well when you asked her to just spend time with her alone was she mad? if she was then i think you should just suck it up and go. My boyfriend never goes anywhere i want to go because he thinks its dumb to and it makes me really upset because I always do what he wants.

You just wear a button up shirt with a collar and dress pants.

I would go if I were you. Girls LOVE to do stuff like this, if you
go with her, it would mean so much to her. You don't have to dance either! When I went to homecoming I didn't dance, a lot of people didn't. Mostly they just socialized. So please go with her. It would break her heart if you didn't.
