My front wheel of my 2008 Dodge Dakota is locking up, when I press the brake it makes a clunk noise?

The other day I was driving, my brake pedal lost all pressure. It then came back, but it seems to come and go, my front wheel driver side is locking up, and when I press the brake it makes a "clunk". It's only the one side. I thought maybe it was the caliper bolts, but a friend looked at it, tried to tighten with the Allen key and they didn't turn (so not loose). What could this be, would it be my caliper? I ordered a new rotor and brake pads. Just wanted some other ideas? Thanks! I miss my truck and need it repaired ASAP...I also ran my hand over the rotor, I can feel some slight grooves, and it isnt that shiny anymore, my assumtion would be my pads wore, wore down the rotor, and now when I push the brake my caliper is sliding around...that's my guess, but I am not sure...any other ideas??????????
