My friends shih-tzu started to hump her mother is this normal absolutely no joke?

I was over at my friends house yesterday and she has 2 shih-tzus who are mother and daughter and the daughter dog started to hump the mother dog i'm not kidding though it was kind of funny. My friend said its because shes in heat right now. Is this normal? I'm not joking its not meant to be funny and any innapropriate a/or stupid answers will be reported and i will block you
 
Yes they will do that.Male or female they will do that.She need to get some training for the dogs.That will help with that.But it is FUNNY.
 
Instead of wasting a post to a question that has been asked repeatedly read up on dogs behaviour. You will find your answer there and actually learn something.
 
i think its a way for the daughter 2 show dominance over the mother. i have an 8 year old female that humps our 13 month old male dog. its a dominance thing for sure
 
It's a sign of dominance. It has nothing to do with either female being in heat. That would only apply if a male were present. The daughter is trying to show dominance over her mother. that's all.

And your friend should have her dogs spayed if she doesn't even understand something that simple.
