my Friends birthday is coming up and i want to get her a fish?

a betta to be exact cause i want her betta to mate with my betta cause all of my friends are getting each other betta fish what do i do?
 
Don't do it only 1 beta to a tank or they kill each other, as far as mating you can only introduce a female when the male is building a bubble nest or he will kill after te eggs are in the nest the female has to be removed or again he will kill. why do you think there called Siamese fighting fish
