no not really . i like the 4 stroke engine better .. one .. the gas and oil don't have to mix in the engine. some you have to premix the gas and oil before adding it to the gas tank. other have tank you have to add the 2 stroke oil to and it mixes it . If it runs ot of oil it can damage the engine or quit running till refilled if it has a safety switch . The main reason i like a 4 stroke engine .. you just have to put gas in the tank .. yes you do have to do oil changes and check it from time to time like a car . but it is not as near the trouble as 2 stroke engines. Then there is the pissed off bumble bee sound 2 stroke engines sound like. however each have there problems i like to 4 stroke engines.. do you one research before you buy . never buy because some one person says there better .
Two stroke engines never need the oil changed. But, you add more oil to it than you would to a 4 stroke. In reality neither one requires much maintenance, but the 4 stroke will cost less in oil and fuel.
