my friend talks super fast and i can't understand her?

This girl at my school talks super fast and I can barely understand her. She's really nice and helpful so I want to be the same back. However, everytime she talks, i go like "Hmm?" or "what?" and I feel really rude..sometimes I just go like "oh, really?" to hide that I have no idea what shes saying
