Hi there, so I have a friend (she is a girl) who is looking into getting a new dirt bike. She used to ride a ttr125 and has not really rode on a motocross bike before. She thinks that four strokes are slow and two-strokes are better...oh boy, huh? (She hasn't rode in years, before the 4-stroke movement!) She is about 5'8 and weights less than me...I am around 110 pounds. I ride a crf150rb. I love my bike and recommened a bike like mine for here. Because of her inexperience I don't think she should mess with 2 strokes because she doesn't know how to properly ride one. I am hitting some stumps trying to give her advice on what bike she should get. She has a limited budget and will have to buy used. What advice do I drop by for her? HELP!
She thinks she can just get on a "big bike" as she calls it. (full-size bike) She has NO experience on a real motocross bike and doesn't understand that four-strokes aren't slow. I would offer for her to test out my bike...but I'm worried she will wreck it because she has only been on a ttr125 and doesn't understand how much power is in a motocross bike. She won't listen to any advice and wants to jump on a full-size two or four stroke bike! She will literally kill herself if she does that. I just need some advice to run by to prove that four-stroke motocross bikes aren't like a ttr125. It is a different breed of bike. She thinks my bike won't have enough power for her...I'd love to prove her wrong by letting her ride my bike, but I'd also hate to order a new fender for my bike if she wrecked it first go! Just asking for some facts about four strokes verses two strokes for beginners and why a two stroke isn't the best starter bike for someone coming off a ttr! Esp not a full-size 125 2
-stroke or any full size 250 4 stroke for that matter.
