My friend has 2 children to her ex and one of the children reside with her aged 4 and the other child resides with the ex aged 5 1/2. My friend has 2 children one aged 9 and the other aged 5 weeks old. The mother had a family court conference and the father agreed on the 5 1/2 to live with the mother and the other siblings. The father gave the child over to the mother so she had all 4 children in her care. The father made excuses and refused to sign the son over to the mother. The mother had the child in her care for several months but because there was a Family Law Court Order in place the mother could not receive any family payment from Centrelink as Centrelink had a Court Order stating that the child resided with the father. The mother wanted to put the child in Pre-school but she could not because the child resided with the father. The mother wanted to put the enrol child for school next year but the mother could not enrol the child because the child resided with the father. However the mother had the child in her care as the father agreed to allow the child to live with the mother through a family law conference. The father has received family payment for this child for several months and the pension and mother could not receive anything for this child. The father has neglected the child in many ways and the mother has done all she can whilst the child was in her care. The mother came to a dead end so she had to hand the child back to the father. The father has relocated a house near the mother and is now seeking shared care of their two children. The mother disputes the fact that the father has neglected the child. The mother disputes the fact that all 4 children should reside together and be able to grow up in a family unit regardless of whether they are 1/2 siblings. The father disputes the fact that he has children too but his children are adults and do not live at home and have had a long separation. The poor child who has gone back to his father doesn't know whether he is coming or going. The child has speech problems, pooing problems, dentist problems and the mother has used the time to see specialist whilst this child was in her care as the father has not done anything about it. Has anyone been through this?
