When I first tried to start it, (after taking out the radio to pull out a jammed cd, and then putting it back in) the engine cranked like normal for about a second, and then snubbed out. After that it wouldn't even try to start. I suspected the security system, but ford said that's not possible from messing with the radio. I then suspected the battery.
I tried to jump it, but it only makes a buzzing sound (like a joke hand buzzer) behind the dash on the drivers side. It acts like there's an electrical issue too, with the speedometer twitching, and the lcd odometer fading and blinking. I don't think it's the battery, because we were jumping it, and the windshield wipers aren't sluggish. My theory now is that it's the starter, or the relay. What do you think? I'll update when I find out what's wrong.
