Alright, I have been having problems with my car vibrating when i'm driving, however I took it to the mechanic today (one I don't usually goto) and he told me that I have 3 broken tire belts, mind you this problem started and didn't get worse (it all happened at once). Is this possible, the place is called Western Tire and Auto, so they obviously sell a lot of tires, are they trying to screw me on this?
Also before I took it in the braking cylinder (the back one) decided to leak brake fluid and they told me thats why my inside hazard brake light is on. It only comes on when I am going to make a left hand turn or occasionally on bumps.
He said he has to flush the system replace the cylinder and also brake pads, is that stadard procedure. My bill for that will be 350 dollars to include labor, is that about right?

you could have broken 3 belts have you hit a bad pot hole or something?
350 could be reasonable for all that.......but
if the brake cylinder is bad i dont see any reason to get new pads or flush the system
it should be replace or rebuild the cylinder(just a couple seals) and blead the brakes
you dont need new pads because of a leaking cylinder
get a second opinion elswhere

the vibrating could be the belts in your tire broke yes thats possible but as far as them having to flush the braking system just to change a brake cylinder is a little bit out there but since there is a leak they will have to bleed the air out of the system but not flush it which is a whole other ordeal and if the breaks arent bad i dont see why he would have to replace them
