My ford focus diesels oil lighht has come on, but the levels are fine, what's wrong?

The levels are fine , but the oil warning light has comes on when the engine is started, it goes out whenthe engine is rev'd hard, but comes back on when the revs drop. There's no knocking or smoke and no apparent loss of performance, can anyone tell me what's wrong and how to fix it?
