I`d suggest changing the fluid and filter on the transmission. You can have it done or easily do it yourself. However, you must also replace the gaskets when you reapply the fluid pan.It is a messy and rather time consuming job,but it can be done in a couple hours if you have all the right tools and drain pan ect. at hand.By running it low of fluid,it likely collecting a lot of sludge in the filter. This will greatly affect it`s proper funtion. There isstill a chance you burned the tranny up,so this is just a quick fix suggestion.

now it can shift only from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Neutral, but the gear it's in is not the gear it says on the column inside the car. Can I fix this just by adding a fluid or conditioner??? If not, how can I fix it???

I only need it for about six more months. Thanks.

Automatic transmissions have 10 quarts of fluid. I would have ceased moving long before running out. However you may have a problem with the selector indicator, which can usually be adjusted. Add fluid first and run the car. If it still has a problem take it in and have the fluid replaced and the indicator adjusted.
