Some Fords have a G Force sensor which shuts down the fuel system when triggered. The idea is to shut down the fuel system in a crash.

However it is common to trigger this sensor by accident. Like by hitting a pot hole or a curb.

There is a reset button hidden someplace under the instrument panel. The location of this reset button varies by model and year.

I guess this is one of Ford's Better Ideas.

mad jack has correct idea.
all newish cars will have a fuel supply cut off unit and it will be shown in owners handbook how to reset it if it gets tripped in event of a shunt etc.
often hidden away say in boot or in driver cabin behind a piece of plastic it will normally have an access hole you can push a finger through to reset it ( like a black button on the device) you need ot have a peek at an owners manual or ask another owner of same make of car or in a garage.
