There are lots of Sony cyber-shot cameras. At the bottom of the picture linked to below, on the right side of the outer ring there's a little lighting bolt. If you have one of these, turn on the camera and press that part of the ring. The display should begin showing you different flash modes. The one with the lighting bolt in a slashed circle turns the flash off, the others turn it on in various ways. Experiment with them.
